The Highfield Level 2 International Award in Pool Lifeguarding is an internationally recognised qualification designed to provide learners with the knowledge, practical skills, and competence required to work safely and effectively as a pool lifeguard.

This qualification equips learners to prevent accidents, supervise aquatic activities, respond to emergencies, and provide first aid and life‑saving interventions in swimming pool environments.


Qualification Overview

The qualification focuses on active pool supervision, rescue techniques, emergency response, and casualty care in accordance with internationally accepted lifeguarding and first aid standards.

On successful completion, learners will be competent to identify hazards, manage pool safety, rescue casualties from the water, and administer lifesaving first aid, including CPR and the use of an AED, until emergency services arrive.
