Course Description
“You can’t sell from an empty wagon,” is the common reasoning behind overstocking. While this prevents stock-outs, excessive inventory often results in hidden costs as items sit in warehouses for months or even years. Supply Chain Management (SCM) provides the balance—improving coordination and relationships between suppliers, producers, and customers. In today’s global economy, where goods and services are sourced worldwide, effective SCM is critical for business success.
The Certified Supply Chain Manager (CSCM)® Certification covers supply chain principles and inventory management to help organizations lower costs, increase efficiency, and boost customer satisfaction. Participants gain insights into demand forecasting, warehouse management, and monitoring systems, ensuring the right balance between turnover and stock availability.
Good inventory managers know what stock moves at what rate and plan reorder levels carefully to minimize shortages while maximizing efficiency. This program equips candidates with the tools and knowledge to achieve that balance and manage global supply chains effectively.
