Course Overview
Selenium training has been designed to help developers and manual testers learn how to automate web applications with a robust framework, and integrate it within the DevOps processes of an organization. The course contains a lot of real-life examples and situations to demonstrate how to use Selenium WebDriver effectively.
Selenium is an Open Source Tool for automating web browser/web application testing. Many organizations use proprietary tools from tools vendors that are integrated with Selenium so Selenium skills are very useful. The Certification includes core Java concepts and covers the basics of Test Automation and its importance in the industry. The course includes basic as well as advanced concepts of WebDriver and other tools/frameworks like TestNG, Maven, AutoIT, Sikuli, log4j.
The Selenium Tester certification is based on a practical training course aimed at test professionals who desire an understanding of how to design, implement and maintain automated solutions using Selenium WebDriver. The course contains a lot of real-life examples and situations to demonstrate how to use Selenium WebDriver effectively.
Special focus is given on building a robust framework with Page Object Design Pattern, Data-Driven Approach, and creating reusable components to improve productivity.
The certification also covers Selenium Grid, which along with TestNG helps achieve parallel execution to improve coverage and reduce execution time for faster feedback. Appium is an open-source test automation framework for use with native, hybrid, and mobile web applications
Exam Information
- The Exam contains 50 Multiple Choice Questions and you must correctly answer 35 (35 out of 50 correct) to pass the exam.
- Exams are online and proctored based, using a webcam and a reliable internet connection exams can be taken anywhere and anytime.
- The total duration of the exam is 1 hour (60 Minutes).
- No external sources of information may be accessed during the exam held via ProctorU.
- If a Candidate does not pass the exam in the first (1st) attempt, the candidate must wait for a period of at least seven (7) calendar days from the date of their attempt to retake the exam for second (2nd) time or any subsequent time.
- The exam can be taken any number of times.
- The Certified Professional Selenium Tester (CPST)® Certificate is valid for life
