Managing the facilities of today’s hi-end and hi-availability data centers is an extremely demanding and complex task which is often underestimated.
There is often very little appreciation and understanding of the complexities of managing mission critical data centers, especially since many of the data centres are operating at, or near, their design limits—and downtime is never an option.
The way a data center is managed at the facilities layer makes all the difference.
Even a data center designed to Tier-4 as per the ANSI/TIA-942 standard could still experience many unscheduled downtime events due to poor planning, operations, maintenance, and management processes.
About CDCFOM® Exam
Candidates appearing for this exam should have gained in-depth knowledge in managing data center operations, which includes the following key subject matters:

Prerequisite
It is advisable for participants to have some experience in data centre operations, although it is not required.
There is no prerequisite to appear for this exam.
Exam Pattern
To receive the CDCFOM® Certification, you must:
- Pass Three Exams:
- CDCP-001
- CDCS-001
- CDCE-001
OR
- Take a Single CDCFOM® Combo Exam
Taking the Exam
- You need to qualify in all three exams to receive the CDCFOM® Credential/Certification.
- Exams can be taken separately (one at a time) and in any sequence.
- You may retake any examination as often as necessary.
Combo Exam Format
- Total Questions: 100 Multiple Choice Questions
- Passing Score: 80% (80 out of 100 correct)
- Duration: 2 hours (120 Minutes)
Individual Exam Durations
- CDCP-001: 1 hour (60 Minutes)
- CDCS-001: 1 hour (60 Minutes)
- CDCE-001: 1 hour (60 Minutes)
Exam Mode and Validity
- Non-proctored Mode: Can be taken anytime and anywhere within an eight-month validity period.
Voucher Code & Retake Policy
- Upon purchasing the Premium Package or an Exam Voucher Code, a voucher code with two attempts will be assigned to your login profile under the “My Vouchers” tab.
- You can take the exam through the “My Exam(s)” tab in your profile. Apply the voucher code to begin.
Retaking the Exam:
- Each voucher is valid for two (2) attempts.
- If you do not pass within the two attempts, you must purchase a new voucher for an additional two attempts.
Note: If you pass the exam on your first attempt, you cannot use the same voucher for a second attempt.
Certification Validity
The Centre Facilities Operations Manager (CDCFOM)® Certificate is valid for life.
