Description

The Certified Agile Scrum Master (CASM)® certification equips individuals with the core knowledge and understanding of the Scrum Framework, enabling them to successfully take on the Scrum Master role in Agile teams. The course emphasizes not just Agile fundamentals but also how to build hyper-productive teams that adapt to rapidly changing project needs.

The Scrum Master’s role is evolving from directing tasks to enabling collaboration and self-organization within teams. This course addresses how Scrum, as a lightweight Agile framework, helps achieve these goals through empirical feedback, iterative progress, and continuous improvement.

What is Agile?
Agile is a methodology for software development that supports teams in adapting to unpredictability through incremental, iterative cycles known as sprints. Agile stands as an alternative to the traditional waterfall model, offering faster delivery, enhanced flexibility, and better team collaboration.

What is Scrum?
Scrum is the most widely adopted Agile framework because of its simplicity, structure, and flexibility. It focuses on:

  • Empirical process control
  • Self-managed teams
  • Building tested product increments in short time frames (sprints)

While many organizations claim to follow Scrum, only a few adhere to its core values and practices strictly, which can create conflicts in traditional, non-Agile work cultures.
