Course Description

The IRCA – ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Training is an intensive, hands-on course designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge required to audit an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) against ISO 45001:2018 standards. This course is accredited by the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) and focuses on developing the auditing competencies needed to conduct first, second, and third-party audits effectively.
Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of the ISO 45001:2018 standard, the principles of auditing, and the techniques necessary to lead an audit team. Through practical exercises, case studies, and a final examination, participants will be prepared to perform audits that ensure organizational compliance with OHSMS requirements, thereby improving workplace safety and reducing risks.

Course Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Understand ISO 45001:2018: Comprehend the requirements of the ISO 45001:2018 standard and how they apply to an organization’s Occupational
Health and Safety Management System.
2. Develop Audit Skills: Acquire the skills necessary to plan, conduct, report, and follow up on audits of an OHSMS in accordance with ISO 19011 (guidelines for auditing management systems).
3. Lead Audit Teams: Gain the confidence to lead an audit team, including managing audit meetings, assigning responsibilities, and handling audit-related communication.
4. Identify and Report Nonconformities: Learn to identify nonconformities accurately, write clear nonconformity reports, and evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions.
5. Achieve IRCA Certification: Successfully complete the course and pass the examination, which will qualify participants to apply for IRCA certification as an ISO 45001 Lead Auditor.
