WHAT ARE IMDG TRAINING REQUIREMENTS?

The International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code is a set of regulations related to the shipping of dangerous goods by vessel. IMDG training requirements are related rules that dictate who must receive maritime dangerous goods training and IMDG certification. These training rules, which apply to all international vessel carriers, are enforced under international treaty.

HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO RENEW MY MARITIME DANGEROUS GOODS TRAINING?

IMDG certification gives you the ability to ship hazardous goods internationally by ocean using any carrier. However, this certification only lasts three years. If you plan to continue shipping dangerous goods, you need to make sure your certification remains active by taking and passing a renewal course.
